CANCELLED Longleat afternoon and evening stroll Friday 9th Dec

Due to dubious weather and lack of time because of the consequences of our neighbours fire and the resultant insurance claims etc. etc., we, Diana and David are NOT going to Longleat by train and foot. Apologies to those looking forward to it.

Steam Trains and Dunster 24 September 2016

Another success for David and Diana - another magical mystery tour in September sunshine !
Bus and steam train to Dunster Castle. A walk through the gardens, and the house.
Train back to Bishops Lydiard with cream teas on the train. ( How does Diana do it !?)
Hoorah, for the Grand Day Out !

DAY OUT SATURDAY 24th September 2016

NOW after 24 hours 19/20 places already taken for Diana and David's DAY OUT on Saturday 24th September this year.
We shall be taking the WEST SOMERSET RAILWAY and walking through the countryside to Dunster Castle (less mobile option available). Price about £27 for Senior rail pass holders and National Trust Members. More details to follow next week for those booked.

Train home from Freshford Station 8.56pm
via Temple Meads 9.29pm to Redland dep 9.37pm arr. 9.47.
