Sunday 6th September.1) 09h15 Please meet at Bristol Temple Meads station by main entrance to the booking hall. Please bring rail card(if booked on that basis) with you to validate your ticket
2) This will give us time to sort out tickets and catch the 09h52 to DAWLISH (or Teignmouth.)
3) We shall arrive at Dawlish just after 11h00 and walk over the hill and then along the seawall to Teignmouth and then catch the ferry to Shaldon. (Less mobile can meet us in Teignmouth or Shaldon).
4) Lunch in Shaldon - we’ll warn pub of approx numbers
5) Swim in sea for the willing or foolhardy.
6) Afternoon options
a. Walk or ferry back to Teignmouth for tea and to catch local train to Newton Abbot at 17h18, which connects with 18h03 N-A to Bristol
b. Walk on to Newton Abbot to catch train home at 18h03 – approx 3 hours
7) TEA: Please could you let us know as soon as possible if you would like us to pick up pasties and/or cream teas for consuming on the train home:
a. Homemade pasties veg or non-veg £2-00
b. Cream teas (4 scones for two people) £2-50
8) There is a bar on the train to buy tea or something stronger; we will arrive back at Bristol Temple Meads 19h27.
