6th September Teignmouth 'Grand Day Out'

Hi Everyone

Its nearly that time of year again!
The September 6th Stroll is (like last year's October one) in/near Teignmouth, Devon.

The plan is again to travel down by train. I have got the best possible rail ticket prices - £7-90 return for Senior rail card holders and £12 return for 'normal' adults, for the first TEN (6 with rail cards, 4 without) who confirm they are coming and let me have the money! I have gambled on these tickets and bought them already.

24 people eventually signed up and came last year and the sooner you can let me know the cheaper I can get extra tickets - on the day they will cost £19-80 return for Senior rail card holders and almost £30 return for 'normal' adults.

The stroll will be down the Teign estuary bank path from Newton Abbot. As last year, less mobile strollers will be able to go direct to Teignmouth to minimise the 'strolling' element.

We shall all aim to meet up in Shaldon where pub lunches are available and, weather permitting, the chance for a sea swim.

We shall all return to Teignmouth on the ferry (about £0.50) PROVIDED IT IS STILL RUNNING: IT IS UNDER THREAT AND NEEDS OUR CAMPAIGNING SUPPORT. However we can still get back to the station without it if need be.

Di will be arranging mini-cream-teas for the train home. Please contact me on dnembruce@btinternet.com or 0117-9731787 as soon as possible.
