MALVERNS WALK

Yes, I confess - more 2 and a bit boots than 2! Never mind; it was a really good walk and the weather was almost perfect (less haze would have been nice but that may have made it too hot). The bus journey to the starting point was a revelation - it started in totally the opposite direction, went round the hills, off way east and finally back to where we got off at Hollybush. From there it was hill after hill to the final peak - the Worcestershire Beacon - great views both waysn all along. (i've now checked a walk in the valley looking up - totally Flat)

Malvern Hills in April

A great spring walk in the sunshine. Early bluebells, hazy views and yet another hill. Great bus ride around the foothills before striking for the top.
Thanks to Jeff for enjoyable and challenging 2.5 booter.

Wye Valley in Spring 2007

Another link in the Wye Valley route in glorious sunshine.
An intrepid few prepared to challenge the weather forecast.
The link from Monmouth to Kerne Bridge by way of Symonds Yat.
Lunch was great, pity about the bus back....
Just as well we could all fit in Patrick's motor...

Clevedon in the sunshine only last week !!

Great photo - thanks Faye - nearly the entire set ..

Carol Marks says...

My walk starts from Walton St Mary, just north of Clevedon, at a parking area on Bay Road which goes off the main road opposite a spiky church (you'll know what I mean when you see it!). I guess we could get there for about 11, it's 6 miles with the last two being along the coastal path. We have lunch at The White Hart in Weston in Gordano . 1 -2 boots

How to do it !!

1. Adding text and photos to the Blog site is called Posting.
2. As a limited access site you need to be invited to add a posting. You can add a posting display after being invited -
3. An invitation address is dispatched to your email that includes a long line of address to take you to the blogsite. Do not double click this address, lift and paste into thesearch bar at the screen top and return.
4. This takes you to a display that requires you to add your email and a password. Entering this will take you to the Dashboard. Select New Post.
5. It should open a display similar to an email. Text can then be added. (colours and fonts are preset by the blogsite template.) Add a title at the label box below the main text area- this will be used to generate an index on the blogsite.
6. The menu bar on the 'Posting' display also allows you to add images from the computer.
[The images can be imported at a small size. The blog software reduces these to fit the display -it takes about 30 seconds to convert. Double clicking on the blog display will enlarge the imported image back to full display].
7. If you add a Label to the image it will be saved in the listing on the left of the blog display and progressively provide a short index of all similar images or maps.(You must agree to Terms of Service, specified at the base of the dialogue box, otherwise it attempts to convert without success.)
8. At each stage you can Preview the result and then edit the posting through the option above.
9. When you return in future to the blogsite you access through the Sign In at the top right of the screen and then in New Blogger fill in your email and password.
10. You can comment on the blog at any time via the comments label displayed but this is limited and is not displayed.
